Immediately enamoured with the capital of Rajasthan’s culture of colour and art of personal adornment, she returned regularly to the Pink City – painted the colour symbolizing hospitality – where she became acquainted with primary craftsmen such as gem cutters, cashmere weavers and embroiderers, as well as spiritual leaders that kindled her passion for yoga.

Being a creative at heart, in 2007 she decided it was time to transform her childhood dream of designing jewelry and clothing into reality by founding her own brand, by Monica G. Conceived as a joyful fusion of East meets West, this cool gypsy girl of effortless elegance successfully incorporated Italian and Indian traditions with technology and innovation, crafting jewels in coloured precious and semi-precious stones. Full of playful symbolisms, when mixed and matched, these small talismans allow each wearer to tell her unique story. In tandem, Monica designed a clothing line of flirtatious tops, romantic skirts, dresses and accessories. All developed in limited editions, these luxurious items at affordable prices gave the brand immediate international appeal.
